Celebration of TAD’s 84th year of service to Greater Toronto Deaf Community!
Held on zoom, livestreamed and viewed by residents at BRCEED’s Bayview Avenue facility.
Calder Nicholson and Fathi Mohamed as Master of Ceremonies spoke about the history of TAD, its origins as an athletic club and the annual Grand Ball. A slideshow of past TAD activities was shown for the first time. Residents from BRCEED shared their past participation in TAD events.
Gary Malkowski, TAD director at large discussed TAD’s future goals with the primary goal being to create a Hub for the community, creating a Junior TAD and emphasizing the importance of having diverse membership of all ages, backgrounds and cultures.
Pavi Sivagnanasundaram, TAD vice president shared details of upcoming TAD online workshops and social events.
TAD board members introduced themselves and sang a “Happy Birthday TAD” song. President Magda Chmielinski showed a birthday cake.
